Job Title: Senior Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join our team at ThinkBAC Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing solar PV systems, including conceptual and development design drawings using PVsyst, AutoCAD, or Helioscope design tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop solar PV systems, including conceptual and development design drawings
  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to convert design concepts into precise construction documents
  • Prepare engineering scope of work, RFP, cost estimates, and bid packages for C&I and utility solar PV, ground mount, and rooftop projects
  • Review EPC contracts, equipment specifications, warranties, and other technical documentation
  • Ensure interconnection applications are complete and coordinate application process with utilities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years work experience on ground mount, rooftop, or carport solar PV systems
  • Experience completing solar or storage projects of at least 5MW
  • Experience within ISO-NE, NYISO, and/or North East AHJ's (Authority Having Jurisdictions)
  • Proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, or Helioscope design tools
  • Experience with ETAP, PSSE, or related software packages for short circuit, fault current, and related electrical studies
