About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Brazer II to join our team at Hillphoenix, a leading manufacturer of display cases and refrigeration systems. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Braze copper to copper, brass, aluminum, or other dissimilar metals using a brazing torch.
  • Read and comprehend work orders and blueprints, identifying part numbers and ensuring accurate assembly.
  • Braze coil assemblies and packages in accordance with defined standards, maintaining product quality and meeting established standards.
  • Cut metal piping to specified lengths, ensuring precise measurements and quality control.
  • Perform regular checks to ensure the brazing equipment is in safe and working order, reporting any discrepancies to department leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience in brazing or technical certification in brazing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience with soldering or welding, with a strong understanding of refrigeration equipment and systems.
  • Manufacturing, testing, or other hands-on experience with refrigeration equipment, with the ability to operate power tools and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Ability to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis, up to 50 pounds.
  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust.
