About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor II, Internal Audit to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our Audit Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of our department's audit plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support audit, advisory, and other special projects to evaluate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Assist in planning and executing testing of internal controls over financial reporting for management's assessment under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Contribute to risk assessment activities to understand business processes and controls, identify risks, and develop solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Design and execute audit procedures to assess financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Provide innovative and value-add insights to drive improved process efficiency and effectiveness for the Company and in the department's audit processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of audit experience in an internal audit or other risk/compliance/consulting function.
  • Strong background in assessing risks and internal controls, including risk assessments, control design, and testing.
  • Experience with SOX 404 compliance, consumer compliance laws and regulations, and financial reporting processes for publicly listed companies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
