Position Overview:
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that all assigned areas are kept in a pristine and orderly condition.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inspections to verify that all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned and in good repair; report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform cleaning duties in various locations, including patient rooms, examination areas, public spaces, restrooms, and offices, adhering to established protocols.
  • Dispose of waste from all assigned areas efficiently.
  • Restock essential supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all designated locations.
  • Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms according to established cleaning standards.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in a hygienic and functional state, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Assist in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including mopping, reaching, bending, and operating cleaning machinery.
  • Must meet the Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
  • Capable of wearing appropriate personal protective equipment for extended periods.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and various cleaning agents.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Flexibility to work according to the operational needs of the facility.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and harmoniously with guests and staff.
  • Understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and following written work assignments.
