In the capacity of a Lead Financial Strategist, you will join the Global Operations and Quality Finance team at our headquarters. This position will focus on supporting our Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors, which encompass Quality Assurance, Post Market Surveillance, Technical Quality Assurance, and Quality Excellence through comprehensive financial analysis and support. The Lead Financial Strategist will engage in a variety of financial planning, analysis, and decision-making support activities for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors. Responsibilities will include a full spectrum of tasks such as general accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all financial information. This is an onsite opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end closing activities for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors, ensuring adherence to corporate reporting standards, which includes: preparation and validation of journal entries, and analysis of actuals versus forecasts.
- Ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled in a timely manner, providing explanations for fluctuations and reviewing analyses with the Assistant Controller on a quarterly basis.
- Conduct forecasting and analytical functions for operating expenses, capital expenditures, and balance sheet items for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors.
- Manage asset oversight for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors, including asset settlement and periodic verification.
- Uphold robust internal controls throughout financial processes.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance sectors, offering guidance and support on financial matters to facilitate accurate forecasting and business support.
- Engage in ad hoc and periodic meetings and projects related to Global Quality Assurance and Compliance.
- Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to enhance the financial planning process, ensuring it serves as a valuable decision-making tool for senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Proficiency in planning, implementing, and managing financial information systems.
- Strong understanding of principles, processes, and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively across various organizational levels.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial data to provide recommendations and solve problems.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree or MBA.
- Familiarity with SAP, Hyperion EssBase, and Power BI.
