About the Job

">

We are seeking a Survivability Engineer to support our System Engineering Special Disciplines Organization. The successful candidate will apply electrical, electronics, and physics theories to execute various tasks related to survivability engineering.

">

The key responsibilities include ensuring that NASA, commercial, and military space vehicle and missile designs meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments. This includes natural space radiation and man-made radiation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience using electrical engineering simulation tools and software for performing electrical engineering and mathematical analyses.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering">
  • Experience using electrical engineering simulation tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE)">
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain an active SECRET Security Clearance">
  • Understanding of Natural Space Radiation environments and Engineering">
  • Familiarity with Radiation test facilities">
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic environment and theories">
  • Advanced degree in a related subject area (desired)">
  • Survivability Engineering software tools (e.g., NOVICE, Srim/Trim)">
