About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Analysis Specialist to join our team at Bastion Technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in materials analysis and selection, with a strong background in mechanical/structural/thermal engineering or a related field. We are looking for someone with 10+ years of recent and related experience, with a proven track record of success in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work, including material allowable test planning and execution.
  • Develop and analyze space vehicle materials analyses and selection, utilizing expertise in Avcoat or other ablative materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of materials analysis into the overall project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/structural/thermal engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of recent and related experience, with a strong background in materials analysis and selection.
  • Experience with NASA programs, NDE evaluation techniques, and probability of detection test plan development and execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with bonding materials, processes, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
