Position Overview

The Patient Account Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of patient accounts within Christus Health. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of patient billing and insurance coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibits proficiency in delivering services tailored to the unique physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient population served.
  • Maintains essential core competencies to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Adheres to established Policies and Procedures, including dress code and professional conduct.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with patients, visitors, staff, and medical personnel.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of insurance requirements, including referrals and billing practices.
  • Has a general knowledge of coding systems such as CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
  • Facilitates claims resolution by effectively communicating with insurance providers via phone or email.
  • Handles patient payments, ensuring clarity and understanding of billing statements for patients.
  • Performs various clerical tasks, including answering phones and assisting patients at the front desk.
