Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients at Christus Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify insurance benefits and notify patients of their financial responsibility at time of service.
- Accurately register patients for services, gathering all necessary demographic information, including insurance and billing information.
- Obtain required signed documents from patients, such as consent for treatment and HIPAA notification.
- Use insurance verification tools to ensure accurate registration.
- Scan required documents into patient accounts and maintain accurate account notes.
- Schedule patients for services, utilizing proper phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Complete Advanced Beneficiary checks and Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaires as required.
- Balance designated cash drawer at end of shift and assist patients with insurance, billing, and other inquiries.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: C-Heartsaver certification.
