Job Description

The Retail Sales Lead Worker plays a crucial role in coordinating store operations, supporting and training utility workers and cashiers. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate store operations, ensuring all preparations are completed in advance for the day ahead.
  • Assign tasks to sales associates and general utility workers, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Provide training and support to sales associates and general utility workers, helping them develop customer service skills.
  • Ensure a professional and enthusiastic atmosphere in the store, even in the absence of management.
  • Perform sales associate and general utility worker duties as needed.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings to discuss daily tasks, visiting VIPs, and other important information.
  • Act as a concierge resource for guests, providing information about the surrounding area and assisting with any needs.
  • Ensure all guests are greeted when they enter the store.
  • Collect and compile daily cash and sales data using Microsoft Excel and other software programs.
  • Lead nightly close-out and balance cash with daily sales.
  • May perform nightly audit of cashier documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling employees and assigning work tasks.
  • May assist with hiring sales associates and general utility workers.
  • May be required to coordinate, correct, supervise, and submit payroll for the department.
Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Mathematical skills required for sales reports and audits.
  • Must be of legal age to work with alcohol.
  • Must provide proof of responsible alcohol training and certification.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work a rotational schedule with rotational days off.
  • Must be fluent in the native language, both spoken and written.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office programs.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a photocopier, vacuum cleaner, calculator, printer, telephone, computer, and point-of-sale system.
  • Must be well-groomed and maintain a high level of professionalism.

This role may have physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment may be required.
