Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Exams: Perform a variety of imaging exams used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.
  • Patient Care: Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Radiation Protection: Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.
  • Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Image Quality: Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
  • Department Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other areas.
  • Alertness and Safety: Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a sonography certification program.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Credentials: General Ultrasound and Echo/Cardiac Sonography credentials.
Work Environment

This is a full-time day shift position with 36 scheduled weekly hours.
