Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing a variety of imaging exams used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, including administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards and submit high-quality images and documents to PACS in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • Completion of a sonography certification program.
  • No experience required, but a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and patient care is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
