**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operating equipment and performing various mammography-related procedures
  • Preparing and positioning patients, as well as selecting anatomic and technical parameters
  • Explaining procedures and educating patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health
  • Developing and evaluating images for technical quality
  • FOLLOWING RADIATION SAFETY PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES
  • Maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

**Education and Experience:**

  • Associate's degree or graduate from a certificate program
  • No prior experience required; ARRT-R Radiography certification is a plus

**Required Certifications and Licenses:**

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT-M Mammography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
