Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week)

About the Position

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue to diagnose medical conditions.

  • Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
  • Setting controls of related equipment, monitoring equipment and patient, making adjustments as needed
  • Assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable
  • Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
  • Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in sequence of exposure and labeling appropriately
  • Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with clerical functions
  • Loading and operating power injections for contrast media administration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Tech
  • ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
  • Licensure (requirements vary by state)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
