We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Strategic Finance and Franchise Feasibility & Investments team at Choice Hotels. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional departments to support feasibility projects that align with the financial goals of Choice and its franchisees.
Key Responsibilities- Leverage data to provide investment analyses and valuation support for internal clients, including Franchise Development, Franchise Operations, Finance, and Executive Management.
- Develop franchise contract and pipeline valuations, market and asset evaluations, and cash flow waterfalls using investment techniques, including net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and discounted cash flow (DCF).
- Prepare deal value analysis, including impact of market revenue opportunity, capital deployment, pricing, and other deal levers.
- Maintain and enhance monthly deal value reporting.
- Assess the feasibility of new hotel franchise projects through market and asset evaluation to ensure strategic and financial fit.
- Develop materials for management review to support the presentation of strategic development efforts toward corporate goal achievement.
- Maintain pipeline planning, reporting, and valuation estimates.
- Support Advanced Analytics on the development of analytical tools to ensure analyses meet desired financial and strategic outcomes.
- Facilitate feedback to internal stakeholders on market opportunity and asset evaluations.
- Provide forward-looking health of business reporting to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Hospitality, or equivalent years of experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, real estate feasibility, and/or investment analysis.
- Franchising or Hospitality experience a plus.
- Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Tableau and SQL a plus.
- Ability to communicate and explain complex financial issues to non-financial professionals.
- Strong drive for data integrity, strategic thinking, and translating data into business insights.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Self-starter mentality, ability to work independently, and motivation to learn new techniques, skills, and knowledge.
