Nurse Assistant Med Surg 3W Position

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team on the 3W Medical Surgical Unit at Grosse Pointe Hospital. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Responsibilities- Provide care to patients according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher and dispatch services as needed.
- Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
- Observe patients who require constant observation and provide support as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current CAN certification preferred.
