Key Responsibilities

1. Approve new medical devices by conducting thorough tests, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, and implementing necessary modifications.

2. Install new biomedical equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and assessing performance metrics.


3. Maintain biomedical devices by adhering to preventive maintenance schedules, conducting evaluations, following manufacturer guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating special services as needed.


4. Direct the operation of biomedical equipment by providing demonstrations, instructing healthcare personnel on proper usage and care, and addressing inquiries.

5. Evaluate proposed biomedical devices through rigorous testing and assessment.

6. Enhance the performance of biomedical equipment by analyzing machine-patient interactions, collaborating with users, developing modifications, and working with manufacturers.

7. Manage the inventory of biomedical supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt.

8. Prepare comprehensive biomedical reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends.

9. Uphold patient confidentiality by safeguarding sensitive information.


10. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety assessments, recommending and adhering to procedures, training healthcare staff, and complying with regulations.

11. Stay updated on job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reviewing technical literature, and maintaining professional networks.


12. Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of new and diverse requests and exploring opportunities to enhance job performance.
