We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated host to join our team at AEG. As a host, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
  • Escort guests to assigned dining areas and present menus.
  • Announce waiters' names and use visual cues to seat guests in the bar or dining area, depending on their preference.
  • Inform guests who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas and provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate.
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests.
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
  • Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages.
  • Issue dining charges by verifying orders, calculating taxes, and totaling bills for to-go orders.
  • Receive payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, accepting currency, and calculating and issuing change for to-go orders.
  • Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions; listing checks and credit card charges for to-go orders.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Flexibility when working alternating shifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

We offer a competitive hourly rate between $18 and benefits for part-time roles, including a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This is an ongoing role, and applications are accepted at any time.
