Key Responsibilities:

  • Inbound Freight:
    • Count and verify all products, weights, and shipments for damage, shortage, overage, and discrepancies.
    • Report any issues on appropriate forms and ensure accurate documentation.
    • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to assigned storage locations.
  • Storage:
    • Maximize space usage and ensure efficient storage of products.
    • Properly and safely put away items onto racks, locations, and ready rows using company systems and scripts.
  • Cargo Handling:
    • Ensure accurate handling of products, including transportation to shipping locations or assigned doors.
    • Review markings, addresses, and cargo labels to ensure correct reference labels are applied.
  • Outbound Freight:
    • Verify quantity, labeling, and address of outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Sign necessary documents and use system scripts for record-keeping purposes.
    • Efficiently move products into outbound delivery vehicles.
  • Facility and Equipment:
    • Maintain equipment and ensure warehouse areas are clean, neat, and organized.
    • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, complying with local, OSHA, and Expeditors' standards.
  • Inventory:
    • Keep accurate records and reports, and assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
    • May key inventory adjustments into company systems.
  • Other Duties:
    • Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions.
    • Repair and re-box damaged goods as required.
    • Operate shrink-wrap machines, manual shrink-wrap, apply plastic and metal bands if assigned.
  • Security:
    • Ensure compliance with federal and company guidelines for TSA and CCSF requirements.
    • Execute company procedures and policies with attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately count and verify products.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use company systems.
