Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the operations of the UM-FERN Grant. This is a term-limited grant-funded position for up to 4 years with the option for renewal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operation and Fiscal Management of UM-FERN Grant
  • Oversee daily activities and lead project initiatives
  • Assist in the development of the UM-FERN Program and Curricula
  • Establish and coordinate ongoing student orientations
  • Coordinate and monitor portfolio of student-enrichment services and support
  • Financial accounting and coordination of grant budget/expenditures
  • Collaboration and support related to consultants
  • Oversight, completion, and communication of required federal outcome reporting
  • Recruitment and Partnership Building
  • Implementation and management of grant-delineated recruitment processes
  • Information and Communication Coordination
  • Participate in and/or provide presentations/communication briefings at meetings and/or other gatherings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience related to the responsibilities of the position
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of constituents
  • Experience working with diverse, multicultural groups
