  • General Duties
    • Comply with established policies and procedures, both written and verbal.
    • Follow safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Document activities on control charts, travelers, and quality logs, and report labor in an ERP system.
    • Ensure smooth transitions between shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment and process malfunctions, seeking assistance from support personnel as necessary.
    • Perform additional tasks as required to support our organizational vision and values.
    • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Setup and Operation
    • Inspect and clean laser optics to ensure optimal performance.
    • Adhere to machine alignment and calibration protocols.
    • Install and remove fixtures in machinery.
    • Load and unload components into fixtures accurately.
    • Set up auxiliary equipment such as laser nozzles and gas flow meters.
    • Select, load, and execute CNC programs effectively.
    • Interpret work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and travelers.
    • Maintain a solid understanding of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
    • Conduct preparation, washing, and deburring operations as needed.
  • Inspection and Quality Control
    • Utilize measuring tools and equipment to confirm that finished workpieces meet specified requirements.
    • Interpret CMM data accurately.
    • Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of laser operation experience is essential.
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical skills relevant to machining and manufacturing tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Must be a United States Citizen or a US Permanent Resident.

Physical Requirements

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; 20/20 vision (corrected) is required, with the ability to pass annual vision tests.

  • Capability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the scheduled shift.
  • Frequent reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping motions are required.
  • Occasional operation of an overhead crane may be necessary.
  • Must perform tasks in compliance with AS9100 standards.
