CNC Grinder Job Description

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join our team. As a CNC Grinder, you will be responsible for operating CNC grinding machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC grinding machines to produce parts that meet customer specifications.
  • Follow all Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
  • Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
  • Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
  • Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
  • Operate overhead crane when necessary.
  • Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
  • Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Any other duties as assigned to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Duty-related experience or/or including milling or lathe experience required - Min 1 yr.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident.
