Controller for Manufacturing Plant

About the Role:
As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Plant Controller will play a crucial role in the financial and operational management of our manufacturing facility. This position requires a blend of financial acumen and operational insight to drive profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the plant manager and leadership team to optimize plant profitability.
- Oversee financial reporting, planning, and support for the manufacturing facility.
- Standardize financial processes and internal controls, sharing best practices with other plant controllers.
- Enhance inventory management processes, including standard costing and cycle counting.
Core Activities:
- Generate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews with the plant manager and team.
- Analyze operational metrics impacting financial performance, such as overtime and efficiency.
- Lead annual physical inventory assessments and reconciliations.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, engaging with plant and customer service leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting.
- Oversee accounting operations, including month-end close and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding asset management.
- Influence capital project planning and return on investment analyses.
- Drive improvements in accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Preference for candidates with CPA or CMA certification and public accounting experience.
- 5-8 years of relevant finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
