Job Title: Mission Operations Trainer

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Mission Operations Trainer to join our Training Division team. As a trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering operations training curriculum to government customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop training material to support automated scenarios, mission exercises, and certification check rides for customers and internal operations personnel.
  • Work with the Systems Engineering Lead to identify training needs and develop training plans and curriculum, including reference guides, operational guides, and evaluation tools.
  • Collaborate with mission operations personnel to ensure training curriculum and scenarios accurately represent current operational documentation used during on-orbit checkout and commissioning of satellites, as well as during execution of primary mission(s).
  • Support system development activities, such as requirements management, architecture development, integration, and test, and formal program milestones.
  • Develop and deliver training on orbit analysis and mission planning to internal and external trainees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 9 years of related experience.
  • Top Secret SSBI/SCI clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Advanced orbital mechanics education/training.
  • Rendezvous and proximity operations mission planning/operations experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • STEM Bachelor's degree.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Web/video-based training development experience.
  • Instructional system design experience.
  • Lesson plan development.
  • Simulation/scenario development.
  • Test/quiz development.
  • Experience utilizing training development tools, such as Camtasia or Adobe Captivate.
