Industrial Automation Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
LER TechForce LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial automation systems for our clients. This is a direct hire position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement industrial automation systems using knowledge of electronics, engineering, and mechanics.
• Create efficient designs and programming unique to each project.
• Apply PLC based industrial automation systems with HMI interfaces to control machine operations with Variable Speed AC & DC Drives.
• Serve as the technical lead on projects and partner directly with the engineering team and work independently to meet customer requirements.
• Review electrical design specifications to establish project requirements through interaction.
• Create electrical designs including schematics, motor control cabinet assemblies, wiring charts, and PLC/Client programming for Rockwell Software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and Factory Talk View Studio ME & SE).
• Design, program, test, troubleshoot and deploy PLC's, HMI's, AC Drives & DC Drives.
• Create and maintain project bills of materials.
• Use AutoCAD to design and edit electrical schematics.
• Apply Ethernet/IP and other industrial networks to design & implement industrial control topologies for communications of PLC's, Client's, HMI's AC/DC Drives, and other process electrical.
• Continually learn machinery process' to create electrical designs and programming solutions.
• Communicate directly with customers about project status, designs, troubleshooting and demonstrate project completeness through in-house testing, on-site commissioning, and other means.
Requirements:
• 3+ years as in industrial Maintenance Technician with some expose to PLCs and AutoCAD software for electrical designs.
• Ability to read, analyze, & interpret technical data and use a multi-meter and other electrical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and writing PLC, Client and HMI programs.
• Strong communication, organizational, Microsoft Office Suite, and critical thinking skills.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency with other programming software (ex. Automation Direct, Etc.).
• Proficiency with other industrial communications protocols (ex.).
