Sun Country Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with aircraft systems. You will be responsible for reviewing and disposing of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Service Letters, as well as coordinating new technology programs.

As an Avionics Engineer, you will serve as the point of contact for vendors on technical issues related to avionics and aircraft electrical systems. You will also be responsible for coordinating with various departments to resolve and prevent aircraft electrical system deficiencies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and assigning Engineering Task Cards/Authorizations to address avionics and related system repairs and alterations.
  • Providing technical assistance related to aircraft fleet upgrades/modifications.
  • Reviewing and improving maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, task cards, and service bulletins in relation to all avionics.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus ten years of related experience, and at least 5 years of previous airline experience. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are also essential.
