About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Operations Engineer to support the Capture Platform team, part of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) for Digital platform engineering. This role will involve supporting the ECM Center of Excellence Delivery teams for layered vendor production installation, support, and delivery, as well as cloud transformation and production support of multiple critical applications.

This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues before they impact business productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, technology architecture, and enterprise content management, with experience working with cloud native technologies and microservices-based architecture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining ECM COE applications, ensuring all components are functioning consistently across environments defined in the Development Life Cycle. They will also drive solutions to reduce recovery time, increase system efficiencies, and lower human intervention time on related tasks.

This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner with cross-organizational teams to ensure end-to-end platform engineering capabilities are implemented, ensuring resilience, high performance, and high availability of the applications. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and guiding automation, execution, and analysis of results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and client and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing, coordinating, and communicating solutions and root cause analysis, providing technical consultation and support in the development of end-to-end automated software solutions, and ensuring production deployments, governance, and controls. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining operational sustainment and risk reduction in the ecosystem, aggressively pursuing safety and soundness type of actions, such as vulnerability remediation, patching, end of life, and resiliency scenarios.

This position requires a strong customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement, with the ability to identify root-cause issues and design approaches to improve overall quality assurance. The candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

Required qualifications include 4+ years of systems engineering, technology architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. The ideal candidate will also have experience troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture, working with enterprise content management or service-oriented architecture enablement platform technologies, and supporting technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications.

Desired qualifications include experience participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle for cloud solutions, familiarity with enterprise content management principles and practices, and experience with cloud native technologies and concepts. The candidate should also have experience with API or microservices development, IT service management solutions, and distributed servers platform experience.
