Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Manager to join our team at Stout Risius Ross. The successful candidate will have significant experience in damages quantification, particularly in intellectual property disputes. This role will involve managing project teams, drafting expert reports, and working closely with senior intellectual property experts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review written reports, presentations, and graphical exhibits
  • Oversee and participate in the day-to-day execution of engagements, with primary responsibility for coordinating and executing the engagement workplan
  • Oversee and participate in the creation of engagement analyses, including financial analysis and modeling
  • Work with engagement leaders to strategize engagement approach; develop engagement workplans; oversee and monitor engagement progress on a daily basis; and report to engagement leadership on engagement progress and critical path items
  • Manage document organization processes including the review, organization, and analysis of case documentation, testimony, court filings, and the identification of relevant information utilized for analysis
  • Manage day-to-day activities of other team members
  • Assist with the management of client relationships with and without supervision
  • Participation in marketing and thought leadership efforts
  • Assist with career development of other team members
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in damages quantification, preferably related to intellectual property disputes
  • Strong analytical and technical finance, economics, and accounting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to critically analyze financial statements, accounting records, tax returns, and other financial documents
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with changing client-imposed deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working in a client service/professional services environment
Education and/or Training:
  • 4-year undergraduate degree with a concentration in economics, finance, and/or accounting
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in damages quantification, preferably related to intellectual property disputes
