Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of a diverse team, typically comprising 10 to 15 members, depending on project requirements. Team members will maintain direct reporting lines to their respective functional managers, including Technical, Manufacturing, and Supply Management.
  • Ensure effective governance and scheduling of projects, directly reporting to the Regional Program Manager - NPI.
  • Manage projects with durations ranging from 1 to 2 years, with total project costs estimated between $1 million and $2 million, aiming for revenue generation of approximately $50 million to $100 million within the first five years.
  • Control project expenditures, including discretionary spending of around $0.3 million for larger projects over the course of 1 to 2 years.

Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of 5 years of experience in new product development within a high-tech environment, preferably related to vacuum technology.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of advanced manufacturing techniques relevant to the sector's products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Product Commercialization Procedure (PCP), from concept selection through to factory implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery of products that meet specifications and budget constraints.

Skills:

  • Proficient in developing and executing detailed project plans, including resource allocation, cost tracking, and schedule management, while maintaining the adaptability to respond to dynamic market conditions.
  • Strong management capabilities to cultivate a cohesive team environment, providing leadership and direction, and promoting effective communication within and across project teams.
  • Exceptional influencing, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of establishing credibility and respect at all organizational levels.

Desirable Qualifications: Familiarity with Prince 2 and Advanced Project Management methodologies.
