Penobscot Nation Youth Empowerment Specialist

The Penobscot Nation Youth Empowerment Specialist role is to empower and prepare youth to use their voice and make an impact on their communities. This position will facilitate youth programs in the community by engaging, supporting, and empowering youth voice and leadership with the use of Indigenous Wabanaki Culture and prevention-focused activities.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and form youth programming for youth who attend the youth program.
- Work in a collaborative manner with the WPH youth team to plan and implement youth gatherings and events.
- Maintain a fun and safe place for youth to develop a sense of pride, optimism, and belonging.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in Tribal Communities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
