Electrical Maintenance Technician

Dart Container is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment integral to our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
  • Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting, and track machine modifications
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and light fixtures
  • Replace damages or broken components
  • Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) proficiently, employing basic and ladder logic to interpret and modify wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for accurate problem diagnosis
Requirements:
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or an equivalent combination of trade school or training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology is preferred
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to perform detailed analytical diagnosis of electrical issues
  • Thorough understanding and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC), ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Skilled in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using both basic and ladder logic to control industrial processes
