Job Summary:
The Director of Risk Management and Compliance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management, insurance, and compliance for Affinity Gaming. This includes managing insurance programs, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and negotiating policy purchases and renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Management: Prepare annual underwriting submissions, complete applications, and gather information as requested.
- Risk Management: Establish a strong presence in operations, work closely with senior management, and evaluate the adequacy of limits and appropriateness of retentions/deductibles.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Communication: Coordinate insurance communications with business units and ensure a uniform approach to risk management policies and programs.
- Supervision: Direct the Risk Management department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Eight or more years of relevant risk management experience in the gaming industry, with increasing levels of responsibility and supervision.
- Certifications: Possess and maintain applicable regional gaming cards and/or licenses.
- Language Skills: Effective communication in English, with the ability to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.
