We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at Boys Town. As a key member of our Power Plant operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficient and safe operation of our power plant systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Power Plant Systems: Ensure the smooth operation of our power plant systems, including stationary and mechanical engines, centrifugal chillers, and boilers.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance duties to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to Service Orders: Determine the necessary repairs and complete maintenance reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed records of operations, fuel and water usage, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with Administrative Duties: Support administrative tasks, including maintaining the master on-call list and recommending improvements to production methods.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Minimum of 2 Years of Experience: Including 1 year of actual operating experience.
- On-Call Availability: Required to provide support and may work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver's License: Required with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check.
- City of Omaha Third Grade Stationary Engineer License: Required at time of hire.
- Vocational Training: Preferred.
