Job Overview

Citynet LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements, and developing spreadsheet reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and verify information by developing spreadsheet reports
  • Take lead in the monthly close process and all monthly reporting
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
  • Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Protect an organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Assist Staff Accountant(s) and Accounts Payable Specialist(s) by answering questions, providing guidance and reviewing workpapers

Requirements:

  • College degree in Accounting is required
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
