Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at AEG. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing and maintaining financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing financial support to various corporate departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed balance sheet and income statement account analysis and assist with preparation of audit requests as directed.
  • Provide timely and detailed monthly/quarterly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account analysis as assigned, including substantiation of account balances, and recommend adjusting journal entries, where needed.
  • Assist with completion of monthly closes and provide financial support and monthly analysis to various corporate departments.
  • Support accounting group day-to-day activities and complete special projects in an accurate and timely manner, as assigned.
  • Recommend/improve company-wide utilization of financial systems and digital technologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of reporting.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance.
  • 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience. A mix of public and private accounting preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel spreadsheet modeling along with all MS Office platforms.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and collaborate.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and exceptional account management and customer service skills.
