Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with hotel systems, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • Supervisory experience is not required
