Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Vitesse Systems LLC. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for administering and improving all aspects of the Quality Management System. This includes verifying compliance with requirements, facilitating company-wide improvements, and supporting the QA Department's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Act as a professional leader within the organization and as a representative of Vitesse Systems LLC.
    • Develop and grow multi-level relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, and other interested parties in support of company goals.
    • Be an effective communicator and leader among peers, as well as others in the organization.
  • Process Improvement
    • Ensure processes within QA are followed and documented; develop and implement improvements.
    • Facilitate company-wide process definition, measurement, and improvements.
    • Accountable for communication and collaboration in order to facilitate company-wide process improvement.
  • Performance Metrics
    • Measure and report key schedule, delivery, and cost metrics for the Processes above.
    • Measure and report performance of the QA department in a way that meets all requirements and needs of internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Education
    • BS in related discipline.
    • May be substituted by 4 years of related work experience.
  • Experience
    • 1 year of experience in related role.
    • Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
    • Ability to pass a drug screen per Custom Microwave, Inc.'s drug testing policy.
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check per Custom Microwave, Inc.'s policy.

Work Environment

The manufacturing facility is more than 56,000 square feet. Workers may be exposed to loud noises, chemicals, and other occupational hazards; personal protective equipment may be provided by The Company and at request.

  • Must be able to work at a computer workstation 50% of day.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery; repetitive motions include, but are not limited to, keyboarding and data entry operations.
  • Must be able to intermittently stand and walk for longer than 30 minutes throughout the work shift.
  • May require occasional utilization of stairs and/or ladder.
  • May require occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and crouching to access work supplies.
  • This position involves extensive internal and external communication; ability to utilize a phone and convey accurate information in person, over the phone, and through email.
  • Must be able to see in artificial/fluorescent lighting.
  • May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
