Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate software processes and products to ensure conformity to standards and models.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure quality is built into software development life cycle.
  • Develop, monitor, measure, and analyze software metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to fill all aspects of the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering.
  • Present software quality assessment of products and processes to customers and program management.
  • Track and manage non-conformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Current US Citizenship.
  • Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain security clearance at the TS/SCI level.
  • Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards.
  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle models.
  • Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements.
  • MS Office products, Excel scripting, Visual Basic, Python, Java, Perl, C++.
  • Experience with Satellite Ground Control Systems including physical configuration audits (PCAs) of Data Centers for workmanship, drawing standards, and process compliance.
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing and Vendor audits to ensure compliance to AS9100D Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with Acceptance Test Witnessing for Antenna Control Systems and associated equipment.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
