Job Overview:
Position Summary: The Manufacturing Process Specialist is tasked with delivering technical guidance and support to Cooper Standard's production facilities.

This role will promote the uniformity of processes across product lines, which includes the creation and upkeep of standards utilized for equipment specifications, procurement, cost estimation, and the dissemination of best practices within Cooper Standard.

This position collaborates closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, and Cost Estimating teams.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborates with Cooper Standard's manufacturing sites to lower costs, enhance quality, and achieve innovations in both process and product technology. Directs the research and execution of new or enhanced equipment, tooling, and processes to meet evolving production demands.

Engages with external machinery vendors, machine shops, plant engineering, and maintenance in these initiatives. Aids in the validation of new processes as needed.

May be required to secure or negotiate approvals or modifications to customer product specifications. Initiates projects and tasks through innovative insights, leveraging manufacturing and product expertise. Confirms the feasibility and capability of proposed product and process enhancements using statistical methodologies. Supports the transfer of products and processes between manufacturing sites. Possesses an understanding of Cooper Standard's product lines beyond the primary discipline. For designated technologies, acts as a communicative link between CS technical and manufacturing locations, including other global regions, for the purpose of process development, best practice sharing, standardization, etc.

Mentors junior program engineers. Understands best practices, processes, and customer needs. Stays informed on advancements related to manufacturing and product technology through interactions with suppliers, customers, trade publications, etc.

May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering is preferred. Typically possesses two or more years of experience. Resolves issues in standard situations; analyzes potential solutions using technical expertise and judgment. Influences the quality and effectiveness of personal work and the work of others on the team; operates within guidelines and policies to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Capable of articulating moderately complex information to others in a clear manner. Strong written and presentation skills are essential. Must have a solid technical and mechanical aptitude. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to evaluate risk and prioritize tasks. Willingness and ability to travel as necessary. Work Environment/

Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment while on the manufacturing floor. Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required. Equipment used necessitates proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury.
