Job Summary:

The Process Development Expert will evaluate customer products, including specifications, to develop manufacturing plans and produce products according to customer needs. This role requires extensive design and manufacturing expertise, as well as an understanding of equipment costs for evaluation purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate customer products and specifications to develop manufacturing plans

Produce products according to customer needs

Assist on all aspects of processing, including process development, system layout, process verification, product/process change impact, cycle time analysis, ergonomic evaluations, joining requirements, staging, joining equipment selection and validation, spare parts documentation and manuals, progress reporting, quoting and estimating

Interpret automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications

Understand ergonomic considerations for proposed processes

Maintain knowledge of PC-based software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Work with throughput simulation operators and robot simulation operators to verify the viability of processes

Understand and follow safety and environmental regulations and identify safety/environmental concerns in our facilities and customer facilities

Adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement

Requirements:

2 or more years of processing experience (automated automotive manufacturing)

GM experience preferred

Competent using Process Designer software (Siemens product)

High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

Travel Requirements:

Domestic travel required. International travel may be required
