About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Precision Resource. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the transition from new product development to manufacturing, providing daily manufacturing support for existing products, and developing, implementing, and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and coordinate the integration of machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals for integrating machining and equipment.
  • Oversee the installation of machines and equipment to ensure they are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedules required to maintain machines and equipment in a prescribed condition.
  • Recommend improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
  • Develop models of alternate processing methods to test the feasibility of new applications of system components and recommend the implementation of improved procedures.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to provide sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes.
  • Assist team leaders and team members in evaluating and implementing continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience with machining and/or tool making.
  • Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal working industry.
  • Experience working with SolidWorks or AutoCad.
