Electronic Home Detention Program Coordinator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Electronic Home Detention Program Coordinator in the City of Dayton. This role is a critical part of our justice system, and we need someone who can work effectively with defendants, law enforcement, and the community.

About the Role

As an Electronic Home Detention Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for admitting and supervising defendants sentenced to our Electronic Home Detention Program (EHDP). This includes placing EHDP devices, explaining program rules, and monitoring defendants for compliance. You will also be responsible for submitting reports, requesting warrants, and testifying in court regarding program violations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admit defendants into EHDP, verifying their eligibility and explaining program rules and regulations.
  • Supervise defendants by tracking EHDP devices and monitoring their compliance with program rules.
  • Contact defendants regarding program noncompliance or violations.
  • Submit timely reports to judges regarding defendants' compliance or violations.
  • Testify in court regarding defendants' compliance or violations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in the court system, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • The ability to work closely with defendants, including at the jail and at their residences.
  • The ability to handle and defuse volatile situations involving defendants.
  • Computer and electronic equipment knowledge, including word-processing experience and website navigation skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
