Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, providing direct care to clients in our clinics and community settings. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to clients with mental health needs, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN or RN license in Tennessee.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric/mental health, A&D, and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified.
  • Experience working with special populations, including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and dual diagnosis disorders preferred.
  • Computer experience in a healthcare setting required.
Work Environment:

The Psychiatric Nurse will work in a variety of settings, including clinics, community centers, and residential facilities. You will be required to travel to different locations and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
