About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate EmPATH Nurse to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As an EmPATH Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with crisis interventions and medical emergencies, obtaining vital signs as needed.
- Administer intramuscular injections and medications as prescribed.
- Complete RN intake/assessments, obtain urine drug screens, and update medication records.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input on client care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- RN or LPN with current Tennessee license and experience in psychiatric nursing.
- BSN or ANA certification as Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse preferred.
- Sound knowledge of psychiatric medications, diagnoses, and treatment modalities.
- Experience working with special populations, including individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Co-Occurring Disorders.
Work Environment:
This position requires working 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and scheduled holidays. Regular attendance is essential, and the ability to remain awake and alert during shifts is mandatory.
Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary of approximately $29.97/hr based on experience and education.
