Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, providing direct care to clients in various settings, including clinics and community-based programs. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to clients with mental health needs, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing.
Requirements:
  • Current LPN or RN license in Tennessee.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric/mental health, A&D, and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified.
  • Experience working with special populations, including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and dual diagnosis disorders preferred.
  • Computer experience in a healthcare setting required.
Work Environment:

The Psychiatric Nurse will work in a variety of settings, including clinics and community-based programs. You will be required to travel to different locations and work with clients in various settings.
