Radiologic Technologist

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety protocols.
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and ensure accurate imaging procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure understanding of procedures and protocols.
- Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to established protocols.
- Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
- Participate in quality control procedures and perform remediation as necessary.
- Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible for registration within 90 days of employment.
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Radiologic technology experience.
This role requires working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and potentially being exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to work a flexible schedule, including 24/7, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to travel between facilities.
