Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Consultant to join our team at Staples. As a Territory Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within a defined territory, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and win new small to medium business customers within a defined territory
  • Ramp and onboard new won accounts to expand our customer base
  • Utilize a prioritized call list to drive prospect engagement remotely by phone, video, face-to-face, and digital tools
  • Exhibit effective appointment setting skills and set the required number of appointments each week with the correct decision-makers
  • Effectively communicate Staples' value propositions, capabilities, products, and assortments to customers
  • Capable of overcoming objections and closing sales
  • Utilize prescribed selling tools to prioritize activities and drive efficiency
Internal Partnerships
  • Effectively work with customer support and category specialists to progress deals forward to closed won
  • Implement and ramp wins driving compliance to new account/program
  • Expertise in prospect industry buying processes and ability to support product selection and standardization
  • Bring in over $750K/year in revenue
  • Create sticky accounts that will continue to purchase from Staples
  • Integrate feedback from prospects into sales approach
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of successful sales experience or success as a Staples B2B Sales Associate
  • 3+ years experience in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM)
  • Industry knowledge, a plus
