Job Title: CADC Substance Abuse Counselor

Pyramid Healthcare Inc is seeking a highly skilled CADC Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team in Asheville, NC.

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate CADC Substance Abuse Counselor to provide clinical support services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clinical support services for individuals in accordance with facility standards and program philosophy.
  • Assist individuals in establishing connections with community supports to facilitate recovery.
  • Develop and solidify long-term recovery supports and provide services after, during, and following treatment.
  • Provide opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery plan and supports.
  • Work with individuals, family, service providers, and community supports to achieve recovery goals.
  • Initiate and develop treatment planning goals through contact with clients, family, colleagues, and other staff.
  • Perform individual and process group therapy sessions under the direction of the treatment supervisor.
  • Manage client files and communicate with referral sources and company representatives.
  • Attend treatment team meetings, community meetings, and trainings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner.
  • Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information.
  • Ability to handle crisis and potential risk situations and react appropriately.
  • A working knowledge of federal and state standards, regulating body, and compliance standards.
