About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a key member of our Law Department, you will be responsible for delivering legal services in an objective and unbiased manner, in accordance with the attorneys' ethical and professional standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, personal injury, and litigation, with a proven track record of handling complex cases. You will be expected to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, and align with management as a partner in decision-making.

Responsibilities will include handling cases involving claims with high financial exposure and complexity, conducting depositions and presenting expert testimony, and preparing detailed reports on complicated cases. You will also be responsible for supervising and developing assigned support staff, mentoring other attorneys, and contributing to office improvement through engagement and response to Excellence in Operations Management (EOM) dialogues and activities.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of personal injury experience is preferred
  • Insurance Defense background is preferred
  • Jury Trial experience is preferred
  • Arbitration, deposition, discovery experience is ideal
  • Must be able to handle an inventory of 70+ files
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and technology skills

Additional requirements include a J.D. from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School, in the top half of graduating class, and an active law license to practice in Pennsylvania and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Pennsylvania.
