Position Overview:


Embody the mission, strategy, and sales objectives of the commercial banking team by forging new connections and nurturing existing relationships through established networks.

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending and apply our Trusted Advisor approach to all clients and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Achieve personal performance goals related to loan production, deposits, and fees while managing a designated portfolio.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with support teams, including credit, loan processing, and retail.
  • Act as a role model and key influencer within the market served.
  • Mentor fellow lenders and provide guidance as needed.
  • Assist clients by offering sound recommendations regarding financing options and financial strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to loan policies, procedures, and documentation, including the preparation of loan packages, while effectively structuring, underwriting, and pricing loans.
  • Provide ongoing support to existing clients and branch staff regarding loan inquiries and issues.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to monitor exceptions.
  • Identify and assist in the creation of new deposit accounts and Treasury Management services.
  • Generate quality referrals through regular outreach to prospective and existing clients as well as referral sources.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual loan reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in commercial banking is required.


Skills and Expertise:


  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, leadership, and supervisory abilities, including negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sales-driven and goal-oriented mindset, exhibiting a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial products and services, along with familiarity with all company offerings.
  • Extensive understanding of commercial lending regulations and practices.
  • Experience in sales management.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and the Community Reinvestment Act.


Work Environment:


This role is performed in a professional office setting.

Work is typically conducted in an interior office environment, with frequent visits to business clients and prospects.

A valid driver's license for travel is required for this position.
